4.5 million children* are dying each year, victims of water-related problems. The access to a safe source of drinking water is central to save these lives.

In order to address this basic need of the poorest countries on our planet, Fontin environment (division of the Fontin Group) made a firm commitment in 2005 to pursue the following objectives:

 

• to reduce child mortality rates,
  
• to improve maternal health,
  
• to ensure a sustainable environment,
  
• to set up a partnership for global development.

Most of these issues highlighted by the European Commission are directly related to water purification. In the light of this, Fontin Environnement has developed a simple, mobile and low-cost water purification solution that is accessible to all: the Fontin Environnement pump, the «Fountain of Life».
